Square Enix has announced the launch of the first ever Fullmetal Alchemist mobile (鋼の錬金術師 MOBILE) game. Players who are interested in the game can now download it from Japan’s App or Play Store.

Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile is a Strategy RPG based on the Fullmetal Alchemist series. The game is filled with many 3DCG cutscenes that will help narrate its story. Players will be able to collect over 40 series characters such as Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Rose Thomas, Roy Mustang into your party. Do note that reroll can take quite a while as you will need to complete Quest 2-4 to unlock the mailbox. The good news is that you can delete your data at the log in page instead of uninstalling the game.

The combat for FMA Mobile is similar to most SRPG. You move about about the grid and initiate battle with the opponent. It will then transition into a cutscene where you see the characters perform combat.

It has been over a decade since the manga series for Fullmetal Alchemist ended and this is probably the first standalone mobile game. If you’re a fan of the Elric brothers, the game is actually not bad and you should give it a try!
