Taito has announced that their upcoming Augmented Reality (AR) mobile game, Space Invaders: World Defense, will be available world-wide this 18th of July 2023.
Millennials will probably not know this but Space Invaders is considered one of the most influential video games of all time. It ushered in the golden age of arcade video games. To celebrate 45 years of Space Invaders, Taito has developed this new title with Google’s ARCore system.

For the last 45 years, SPACE INVADERS have tried to conquer the world. They are back and this time coming from another dimension. As one of Earth’s top pilots, you must use your spaceship’s advanced technology and your expert skills to travel between dimensions and defend the planet. The future of the Earth is in your hands!
